Super Chief by sekido54 Super Chief by sekido54
Punk bikers watch as the Super Chief slowly passes them.

I wanted to create a retro, but still futuristic scene. The train design was based on classic trains. I also decided to make a
three-wheel cycle, rather than the traditional two-wheel style.

Done in Photoshop.

Amazing classical-looking digital work!
I bet it would be an awesome illustration for an cuberpunk game or book.

Wow! Your art never fails to amaze! :) Awesome work as always, I love the way you imagine futuristic things. This sort of reminds me of Blade Runner.

I wish you'd make a comic or something with all your characters and vehicles and scenes.

Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks a lot! I really love Blade Runner and it gives
me a lot of ideas to help create my designs.

Maybe one day I will create some kind of story using
my artwork...thanks for the suggestion.

Aha! I knew I recognised the influence. It's amazing that a movie from so long ago (must be well over 20 years!) can still have such a great influence of futuristic design. Just goes to show how far ahead of their time the production designers were.

And I think you've already created a story behind your characters and all, maybe all you need to do is just compile them chronologically. I've been following your art since I joined dA, about two years ago and I still remember all your posts had some story behind them. All about punks and law enforcers, based around some less than perfect crime infested techno slum area. Kinda like something from a 2000 AD comic book. My point is: you've done all the work bro', it just needs a final push for it all to come out! :) Looking forward to it happening.

Have a merry Christmas, friend! I wish you lots of Joy, Peace and Happiness this wonderful time of the year.

Maybe someday I'll put some story together, but different
from Blade Runner's. Have you heard of Syd Mead? He helped
create designs for Tron, Aliens, along with BR. He's very inspirational.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Btw, I'll put out one more artwork in a few days (if my computer
doesn't fail me). Just gotta do one more before the end of the
year...

Wow! That Syd Mead guy is awesome! Thanks for the info man, you always inspire me one way or the other! :)

I hope that you'll eventually put it all together in a story, it would do your art great justice. I will keep giving you all the moral support you need to make it happen. I hope the new year brings great inspiration for you, so I look forward to more exciting artwork from you in the coming year.

Have a great holiday! :)
